What’s in my travel makeup bag?

IMG_20141221_074610I have recently travelled to the UK to visit family and although every time I visit I purchase quite a lot of stuff, I still take some basics with me for everyday make up. My items included:

Base: I did not go for a full face foundation, I tend to keep my makeup minimal whenever I am on holiday so I took this Max Factor Pan Stick which I apply as a concealer on necessary areas and buff it in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Blush: for blush I only took one product, which is the New CID lip and cheek tint which I apply as dashes on my cheeks and and blend it in using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush. Love this product, very easy to apply and gives a nice tint

Eyes: For my eye makeup I packed up my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette as the colours compliment a natural look flawlessly, are easy to apply and the palette consists of a good sized mirror. Bonus! Two items I can never go without  are eye pencil and mascara. I selected the Essence Maximum Volume Macara as it is very easy to apply and has a small packaging which does not take up much space. Since I packed up my mascara, it goes without saying that I also packed up my eyelash curler, which I have been using for a couple of years now and is by Tweezerman. As for eye pencils, I took 3 small pencils which are almost used up. When a pencil have one sharpen left, I usually keep these to keep in my hand bag and for travelling. I find having 3 small one are better than having one big one as I always have a full sharpened pencil at hand without the need of having to carry a sharpener with me! Recently I have also been loving blue eye pencil for my bottom water line and I am currently using the Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in 09 cool down (blue) One last item for eyes is more brow related, and it is the Catrice Brow Gel, which helps keeping my eye brows in place.

Lips: I am not very big on lips so I only packed 3 products; Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel, Rimmel Moisture Renew in Notting Hill Nude and Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Vampire Kiss which I thought was in order for the Christmas period.

The only 3 brushes I packed were a brow brush, Real Techniques Stippling Brush and Real Techniques Buffing Brush, which were more than enough for 10 days of minimal makeup. IMG_20141221_075117

I packed all my makeup in a semi transparent pocket which fitted nicely in my luggage!
